Samos Volunteers has been working on the island of Samos since 2016. Our team of volunteers from all over the world provide psychosocial support, informal education, and clothes to refugees and asylum seekers living in the camp and shelters.
Summer Clothes Distribution
During our last winter distribution, we reached the most people any of our distribution campaigns have ever reached. We continue our distributions and adapt to the changing weather as the hot summer months on Samos approach. Our Free Shop promotes dignity and choice as people receive much-needed summer items in our Free Shop.
The needs of people living in the Closed Controlled Access Centre (CCAC) remain as high as ever. There are currently more than 2,500 people living in the CCAC. There is an urgent need for clothing that is suitable for the warm months ahead.
Your support makes our summer distribution possible. Help us achieve our goal of β¬17.850 to make our distribution sustainable for the whole season.
You can donate here, thank you for your support!
We also have a needs list for our summer distribution, describing our expectations and the items we need. You can find it here.
This video is a short testament of Samos Volunteers' mission on the island. It's about the values that have informed our work all through the years and the commitment that will continue to lead us facing future challenges. We offer a welcoming space that always prioritises dignity, creativity and humanity.
